Hanwha releases affordable line up of cameras and NVRs

Hanwha Vision has released the A Series, a range of affordable cameras and network video recorders that are engineered to provide effective and intelligent video analytics, whilst also being designed specifically for budget-conscious installations.

Fourteen camera models in the A Series range offer multiple uses for small and medium sites across retail, hospitality, and commercial premises. They come in dome, bullet, and flat eye designs, at 4MP and 2MP resolutions, with NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) compliance to ensure trusted cybersecurity, and are certified for outdoor use via IP66 rating. The cameras are complemented with A Series NVRs, that allow monitoring at up to 4K for an exceptional viewing experience.

A Series cameras

The A Series cameras are designed to offer the highest-quality video to improve operator awareness and understanding of events. They support a maximum frame rate of 30fps. Built-in IR and lens distortion correction provide detailed imagery for an easier operator viewing experience.

Meanwhile, True Wide Dynamic Range provides backlight compensation to give clear images in all lighting conditions. The Hallway View feature has the option to monitor narrow scenes such as long corridors and hallways with a vertical field of view that has 90°, 180°, and 270° rotation.

In the new white light flateye camera, ANE-L7012L, a warm white light can be used as a supplement for dark scenes to deter anti-social behaviour, intrusion, and theft. It comes with in-built intelligent video analytics that includes virtual area, virtual line, and motion detection. If a person is detected stepping across a virtual line or entering a virtual area, the light can be automatically turned on as a visual warning or to light in dark areas.

Licence-free intelligent analytics

The A Series comes with intelligent video analytics to increase situational awareness and alert operators to abnormal activities while reducing false alarms. Analytic zones, such as areas within a stock room or car park, can be set to trigger alarms. The cameras can accurately detect objects entering or exiting a designated area. Operators, therefore, get real-time alerts on all events happening on a site for more proactive and rapid security responses. Bookmark search is also supported by video analytics to help operators quickly find relevant footage for post-event investigations.

In addition, alerts can be shared for possible camera tampering or if a camera suddenly loses focus. This ensures cameras are constantly working to provide clear footage to operators.

Cyber security

The cameras are NDAA compliant, an indicator of strong cyber security and responsible design, as well as enabling them to be used in U.S. federal agencies. According to Hanwha, in Europe, many companies align with the NDAA standard to ensure they have trusted cybersecurity and design across their security systems.

Quality NVR solutions

The A Series cameras are complemented by a range of high-quality, affordable NVRs that ensure operators have a full overview of complex scenes. A series 4CH, 8CH, and 16CH NVRs support camera resolutions of up to 4K with a range of options for operators to access footage. These include the use of P2P connections which can be quickly set up through a QR code, or through Wisenet Viewer for easy monitoring on Windows or Mac PCs, and via the Wisenet Mobile App for remote monitoring. No matter where operators are based, they can monitor or review all events at a site in real-time.

Pread Um (Suk Bong), Product and Marketing Director at Hanwha Vision said, “The A Series is designed to provide the quality images and intelligent analytics that Hanwha Vision is renowned for, but at an affordable entry point for customers and partners. With multiple lens and mounting options, the range suits all manner of small and medium-sized installations including outdoor settings, narrow hallways, stock rooms, shop floors, and more.”
